What I’m working on
The main build right now: a direct ordering and loyalty app for a 9-outlet burger chain in Mumbai. First paid pilot of a broader idea, a platform for restaurants who want to own their customer relationships rather than rent them from aggregators. The pilot is the proof; the platform is what it becomes.
Two other directions are early but close to me. Something in edtech, where I spent most of my career and where the openings AI creates keep nagging at me. Something in the nature space, further from my professional history but closer to how I want to spend time.
A side project on Fantasy Premier League with friends. Lower stakes, different audience, useful for keeping the building muscle warm.
What I’m thinking about
What product management looks like when AI removes the bottleneck on craft. Fifteen years in product roles across edtech, language learning, and B2B upskilling, all spent inside teams. Now I’m building alone, and the recent notes here are early forays into what that changes. The connecting thread: what does PM judgment look like once it’s untethered from a team and a title?
Restaurant aggregator economics from the operator side. Margins, customer-data ownership, the actual mechanics of direct ordering versus the version on a slide deck. This one is less abstract because the build forces it to be specific.
What I’m learning
Building production software solo using AI tools. About five months in, with a real customer paying for output. The interesting learning is less “how do I prompt better” and more “what changes about product judgment when implementation cost approaches zero.” Both of the published PM notes are downstream of this.
Availability
Always up for conversations about restaurant tech, edtech, AI-assisted solo building, or anything I write about here. Operators, fellow builders, and PMs working through similar questions especially welcome.
